Join NYTWA's Driver-Owned Shared Expenses and Insurance Co-op to Save on Costs!
In this industry where the burden of expenses are on the backs of drivers, we need to unite to bring down costs. Millions of people form co-operatives (co-ops) for housing, healthcare and insurance. NYTWA is organizing a shared expenses and insurance co-op so we can bring down costs by cutting out private profits and buying in bulk. The co-op can have several products: credit union, wholesale parts, tow truck, repair shop, and even groceries and a retirement plan.
INSURANCE CO-OP: The first product that we must organize for now – with urgency – is liability insurance where premiums will only keep going up, many drivers are being overcharged or worse, denied, and there are media reports that the largest insurance company could go bankrupt. The driver-owned insurance co-op is our solution. If there is profit at the end of the year, driver owners of the co-op can vote to divide up the money or re-invest it into their own company. Drivers will also have access to technology for safer driving and our insurance company will give us a front seat to discuss road safety with policy makers. To start, we need to collect loss run reports (shows premiums paid by driver and claims paid out by carrier on your behalf) from every driver who is interested. This form will help you auto-email your carrier for that report.
